The Captain Was Ruthless For This!
You say the name Mark Messier, you think of when he guaranteed a victory over the New Jersey Devils in the Conference Finals while the Rangers' are down, 3-2 in the series, scores a hat trick, game six, and then leads the team in a thrilling double overtime victory in Game seven.
Or when he score the series clinching goal in Game seven of the Stanley Cup Finals over the Vancouver Canucks.
His name is etched in the history books as among the greatest to have ever played on the ice.
His stellar play and incredible demeanor made him a beloved figure in New York City, and he apparently used that reputation to mess with opposing players by denying them access to a famous nightclub called the China Club, located on the Upper East Side.
It was apparently the place to be in the 90's, musician performing to a crowd filled with famous actors, models, and athletes.
However, if you were a member of an opposing NHL team that was in town to face off against the Rangers, you would be out of luck to see the club, all thanks to Messier.
Anything to help us with the Cup.
