The Rangers Accomplished Some Fascinating Feats!
The Rangers won in convincing fashion over the Toronto Maple Leafs, 5-2.
What was most impressive, they capitalized on the two power play chances they had all game, and didn't allow Toronto a single man advantage opportunity!
The Rangers have now scored power play goals in five-straight games, 10 of their last 12 games and in 23 of 30 games this season.
Last night was only the second time ever the Rangers were 100% on the power play while not conceding any penalties themselves.
The only other time was April 9, 2017, against the Pittsburgh Penguins.
Even more impressive, last night was the first time since January 4th, 1969 that the Rangers did not commit a single penalty against the Maple Leafs in Toronto.
That is 92 games!
It's amazing how much of a difference a week makes, winners of three straight games!
