The Two Goalies Facing Off Now Are The Best In These Stats
The Rangers are currently down 4-1 to the Nashville Predators near the end of the second period.
Not a good game for the Blueshirts. But this stat is very encouraging to see from our goaltender, Igor Shesterkin.
This shows Shesterkin doesn't stumble to pressure, even when in high danger situations when the team needs him the most, he's there to deliver and is the best at it.
In high danger situations, when up or down a goal, or tied, his save percentage is .741, which is the best in the league.
What's interesting is the Predators goalie, Juuse Saros, who the Rangers are facing right now, is second on this list with a save percentage of .738, right on the heels of Shesterkin.
If it comes down to it and the game is close, the teams will lean on these two to bail them out most likely.
