The New York Rangers will surely have a trade candidate in 2024-2025 in Kaapo Kakko. He has been the forefront of many trade conversations recently, but he's not the only Rangers vulnerable to a trade.

We'll discuss three Rangers players who could be in-season trade bait during the 2024-2025 season. These players won't be limited to the NHL, as if the Rangers put up winning numbers yet again, they could move a prospect or two.
Brennan Othmann has been the subject of discussion lately, whether or not he'll make the big club in 2024-2025. If he doesn't make the Rangers this season, could we see his time in New York come to an end?
Othmann played 3 games in the NHL this season, but the 1st round pick would spend the majority of his season in the AHL. He scored 49 points( 21 G, 28 A) in 67 games.
Unfortunately for Othmann, the Blueshirts are stacked on all 4 lines. But he as a trade piece he could prove to be an attractive candidate if he builds off of his 49-point season in 2023-2024. Othmann could be a prime candidate to help secure another top-six forward.
At Age 31, Jonny Brodzinski has never been a valuable player in the Rangers lineup, or at any of his stops during his NHL career. As a result, he could be a victim of circumstances, as the veteran could be moved. Many teams in the NHL could use bottom-six forwards and Brodzinski could be a solution.
He could end up being a veteran leader, on a rebuilding team in the future, and could ostensibly end up in San Jose as they need veteran voices in the locker room.

Victor Mancini

Mancini recently signed an ELC with the Rangers, and ideally, he's a player who doesn't need a change of scenery. But when it comes to trade packages, everyone could be on the table and Mancini could be a piece to move later in the season.
Mancini's size and hard-hitting game could prove to be attractive to many rebuilding organizations and could be a piece moved for someone like Boone Jenner for example.
A high-upside prospect like Mancini could be a part of the trade package to acquire someone like Jenner. But this is just an example of a package deal in trade for one of the Blue Jackets' most valuable players.
