Trade talks continue to heat up amongst several teams for Jacob Trouba
According to The Fourth Period, Trade talks are continuing to heat up between several teams and the Rangers as the Blue Shirts are looking to move on from Rangers captain Jacob Trouba.
These rumors seem to be intensifying rather than subsiding as general manager Chris Drury has made it clear that he would like to go at different direction as USA TODAY reporter Vince Mercogliano reported earlier this month that there was trouble in the Rangers dressing room and that Trouba would be the likely candidate to be traded.
Much of this talk has been stemmed around the fact that Trouba's no movement clause has been lifted and is now a modified no trade clause to which he needs to submit his sixteen-team list if the Rangers decide to move him.
Other Sports News outlets including the fourth period and Sports Illustrated are reporting several teams in the mix including the Detroit Red Wings, Anaheim Ducks, Buffalo Sabres and Nashville Predators who have contacted the Rangers on his availability.
SI went further to say that Trevor Zegras could be in the wind of a trade as they are looking to move on from him and that Zegras would benefit heading to New York City.
With all the rumors circling, it remains to be seen on whether Trouba will be with a new organization but in the meantime the heat continues to grow hotter with more teams calling Drury.
