One potential suitor would be Washington Capitals veteran, Max Pacioretty after he made a returned to play this season.
Pacioretty's last two seasons have been filled with injuries, as he torn his Achilles. Fortunately he's all healed up and looking to generate interest during NHL free-agency.
One of those teams who'd be interested in Pacioretty's services are GM Chris Drury and the New York Rangers.
However, with the Rangers signing Kaapo Kakko to a one-year deal worth $2.4 million, the team is limited on resources.
But they need to their best to sign talent that can produce at a reasonable price, which Pacioretty could provide.
GM Chris Drury and the Rangers were apparently interested in Pacioretty at the trade deadline.
As they need a top-nine forward, this could be a great fit for both parties, as Pacioretty still have plenty to prove and would undoubtedly love to go cup-hunting.
If Drury could work something out and convince the sniper to sign at a discount, this could be a win-win for both parties.
Pacioretty had 23 points( 4 G, 19 A) in 47 games played with the Washington Capitals this season.
