NHL shuts down Rangers offseason trades and roster moves
Game 4 of the Stanley Cup Finals will be on tonight, as the Florida Panthers could lift their first Stanley Cup tonight.
The NHL is on alert and has told teams to shut down talks of their trades and roster movies until the end of the Stanley Cup Finals.
Should this not end tonight, and end with a Game 7, the league wants all eyes on the Edmonton Oilers and Florida Panthers.
If the season ends tonight there is a chance we see a flood of moves by Monday. The league has gently nudged teams to let the Stanley Cup finish before they make any moves. While not enforceable the league has offered a suggestion to let the Cup be handed out without distraction.

It was reported by this X.com user that the NHL has told teams to force-stop all transactions so all eyes are on the ice.
While there's no official rule in the place to make sure this happens, but if it is a Gary Bettman mandate, it seems likely NHL owners will follow through.
This could lead to complete chaos on Monday, should the Finals end tonight, you can see how blatantly obvious Bettman's authoritarian nature is, controlling other NHL teams business.
Gary Bettman, of course, is a double-edged sword as the Board of Governors loves him, as a profit-making machine for them.
But the health of the NHL suffers, while he continues the status quo and he should be removed as soon as possible as commissioner of the NHL.
How is he still the ONLY NHL commissioner? It's ridiculous.
