Uncertainty Still Looms In New York Rangers Starting Line Up For Opening Night
The New York Rangers are continuing their practice sessions in preparation for the opening of their season Thursday, against Buffalo.
There is a noticeable change however between Sunday's announced practice lines, and today:
Former No. 1 Pick, Alexis Lafreniere and rookie standout, Will Cuylle, who has just recently been awarded the Lars-Erik Sjoberg Award for being the top rookie during training camp/preseason for the New York Rangers, have switched lines.
Cuylle has been relegated to the third line with Vincent Trocheck and Blake Wheeler, while Lafrenière has ascended to the second line, joining Artemi Panarin and Filip Chytil.
Everyone is in regular jerseys.
It seems the battle continues for a spot in the top-six between Cuylle and Lafrenière.
We might not have a clear indication on who will join the top-six until opening night.
We will keep you updated in the coming days, leading up to the season opener, Thursday, October 12, against the Buffalo Sabres, In Buffalo.
