Recent photo sparks major concerns for Washington Capitals star Alex Ovechkin
The Washington Capitals faced an early exit from the 2024 Stanley Cup Playoffs after being eliminated by the New York Rangers in 4 games.
While we wait to see who is named the Stanley Cup Champion between the Florida Panthers and Edmonton Oilers, there has been some concerns around Capitals star Alex Ovechkin.
Alex Ovechkin is back in his hometown, and on Friday a photo was posted on social media, that has lots of fans commenting on the star player's appearance.
Zero fat shaming, however the main focus is on Ovechkin and how he put on some extra weight during the off-season.
According to his NHL profile, Ovechkin weighs 238 lbs, but it seems like he had put on a few pounds.
Ovechkin only had two more years remaining on his contract with the Washington Capitals, which he signed in 2021, this upcoming season will be his 20th season in the NHL and is believed to retire once it expires.
