Morning Cuppa Hockey host Jonny Lazarus was quite angry after the Leafs fans to Rangers comparisons were brough up again. This debate was sparked after Leafs play by play announcer Joe Bowen ripped the fanbase after the Leafs lost to the Bruins in Game 3 .

Bowen's argument is based that the Leafs fans, especially in the lower bowl of Scotiabank arena are too quiet for a playoff game which does not give the team any home ice advantage due to the lack of fan energy.

Some state that Madison Square Garden is the same as Toronto and Lazzy clearly hates it. Former Rangers forward Brian Boyle on as a guest and he was asked what was it like to play in Toronto and with the Rangers during playoff time, to which Boyle felt the energy in both buildings were strong. He even went on to say the Rangers were booed off the ice.

Scotiabank Arena will always be a quieter building as the culture of winning and playoff success evaporated after 2004 and has started to return with the Auston Matthews era. It's quite likely it may take several seasons long playoff runs to change it.

The Leafs are trailing the Bruins 2-1 in the series with Game 4 on Saturday April 27th at 7:00pm.
