It's always a great game when the Edmonton Oilers play against the Los Angeles Kings as both teams continued to renew their hostilities towards one another after last year's first round playoff.
The game always has a bit of snarl to it and players seem to be more engaged against one another as the rivalry has been built.
During the second period with three minutes and 23 seconds left, Kings defenseman Mikey Anderson tried to lay a body check on Oilers forward Zach Hyman which led to an odd hit and not in his favor.
Instead of delivering the check he ended up getting checked himself by Hyman and slammed into the boards quite hard.
Oilers star defenseman Evan Bouchard decided to antagonize him a little with his stick. He was not injured on the play.
This rivalry will continue to build and if the Kings have solved their problems, there is a good chance these two teams will clash again in the playoffs sooner than later.
Anderson ended up getting the last laugh as the kings won the game in a 4-0 shutout.
