It seems that this season in the NHL has been more aggressive with the illegal checks to the head vicious cross checks and other suspendable offences that had been magnified by all the coverage in social media.
With the recent four game suspension of Rangers forward Matt Rempe, It appears another player is now facing supplementary discipline as Panthers defenseman Dmitry Kulikov will have a hearing tomorrow.
The illegal check to the head occurred during the Tampa Bay game when Kulikov skated towards Conor Sheary and elbowed him straight to the face. Kulikov was given a 5-minute major and match penalty.
List led to Tampa Bay star Steven Stamkos to score his 27th goal on the power play and putting the Lightning up 4-0.
It's unclear how many games he could face but with the reputation of the Panthers this season with many ugly hits and rough play, It would be expected to face at least two games for this.
