Worst play sequence haunts Flyers against Leafs
Teams hold practice on certain aspects of their game which include power play and penalty kill sequences and schemes.
During the game between the Flyers and the Maple Leafs, the Flyers faced one of the worst situations in hockey as they attempted to kill off a penalty.
As Travis Konency was coming out of the box for roughing, the Flyers zone fell into chaos as the Leafs swarmed them and moved the puck around rapidly, three Flyers defenders were stickless as they were broken one by one.
This left Matthew Knies wide open, and he shovelled his 12th of the season.
The Leafs ended up beating the Flyers 6-2 and it was the second game of head coach John Tortorella's suspension.
It will be curious to see what will be said when he returns to practice.
