NHL referee gives hilarious scolding to Quinn Hughes
It seems NHL referees have been taking their mic'ed up abilities to a new level as their calls and ways they state the calls to fans have become more entertaining.
With Wes MacCauley's ways of describing a call with over exemplifying ways, to brutally honest calls about called back goals, it was on display yesterday when the Colorado Avalanche were playing the Vancouver Canucks.
During the halfway point of the 2nd period, Quinn Hughes was given a interference call which put his team down 2 men.
What came after was priceless as the ref was basically scolding him to go to the box like a father telling a child to go to his room.
This led to the broadcasting team of Altitude Sports to break out into laughter as this went on.
No one scored on the two-man advantage, however, soon after the Canucks imploded which lead the Avalanche to score 4 unanswered goals and took the game 4-3 in Overtime.
I hope these refs continue to bring new levels of entertainment being mic'ed up.
