General manager Chris Drury has been scouring the NHL looking for potential deals that could help shore up his third line centre position after being devoid of an injury and a demotion.

As several trades have occurred in the past couple of weeks from other teams especially in the Western Conference, it seems the price has been set for what a centre will cost.

However, there are deals still out there and it appears the Rangers are looking at the Seattle Kraken for a potential new option in Alex Wennberg.

The 29-year-old centre who had been plagued with injuries throughout his career seems to have cleared them as he has been an active member in the NHL for the past two seasons.

Playing over 80 games each year has certainly boosted his value on the trade front. He is also on his final year of his contract holding a $4.5 million cap hit.

Viewed as a rental and with his injured past, it's possible that jury could find a better deal with Kraken as Wennberg will head to free agency.

Seattle is still working out its plan on how to build its team as it's only been in the league for three seasons.

He has played 55 games, as scored eight goals with 14 assists for 22 points and is a plus one with 14 penalty minutes.

His average ice time is 18:40.
