Tragic news strikes as a CrossFit athlete, Lazar Dukic was involved in a swimming competition and completely vanished under water.

The 28-year old was competing in a 800-meter swim at the CrossFit games in Fort Worth's Marine Creek Lake, where he was nearly at the finish line when he went under the water and never resurfaced.
A search and rescue team was sent out right away to try and locate the swimmer, it took the responders close to two hours to locate Dukic.
Unfortunately it was too late as it was later confirmed by CrossFit Games that Lazar Dukic did pass away.
«We are fully cooperating with authorities and doing everything we can to support the family at this time.»
CrossFit Games made the executive decision to suspend the rest of the scheduled events and launch an investigation to see what truly happened with Dukic.
Such a tragedy for everyone affected by this, as there was over 10,000 people watching live from around the world.
On behalf of everyone at NY Rangers Insider, we send our deepest condolences to the family and friends of Dukic during this difficult time.
