A report has surfaced earlier today from an American Hockey League insider Tony Androckitis, that the KHL organization Barys Astana has terminated the contracts of several of their top tier players, including players that used to play in the NHL.
Some of the more notable names that got their contracts terminated form the Barys Astana organization were former New Jersey Devils forward Michael McLeod, who is currently going through some legal troubles after what occurred during the 2018 World Juniors, then along with Wade Allison, Nathan Beaulieu, Will Butcher, Chase De Leo, Alex Grant, and CJ Smith being the other notable names.
Down below is what Androckitis stated on X:
Barys Astana is based in Astana, Kazakhstan and is the team who is currently in last place in the KHL right now with just three wins to start the season in 16 games so far, and things seem like it will get worse as Michael McLeod was the teams leading goal scorer with three goals and six points through 15 games for the team.
It's still remains uncertain on why the Barys Astana terminated multiple players contracts, but once we hear more we will be sure to inform you.
Do you think the true reason behind these contract terminations will be revealed? Let us know in the poll down below and stay tuned to NY Rangers Insider for the latest news and updates on the New York Rangers.
