It's been an incredible season for the Florida Panthers as they have surged and are constantly trading spots with the Boston Bruins for first in the Atlantic.
Two players have been stellar for the Panthers who happened to be Matthew Tkachuk and Gustav Forsling.
Last night, the team received terrible news that both players have sustained injuries and that they will not be returning to their game against the Carolina Hurricanes.
According to head coach Paul Maurice, both players are listed as day-to-day and will be evaluated tomorrow.
It appeared that Tkachuk received a hit from Carolina's Andrei Svechnikov During the first period.
He was attempting to battle with Jaccob Slavin when he was sandwiched between both guys.
As for Forsling, his injury was unknown.
Tkachuk has been the main cog for their offence as he has had twenty goals, with 45 assists for 65 points in 56 games.
Forsling has given the Panthers a solid outing this season as well as he has played 55 games, with eight goals and 19 assists for 27 points.
