The man who struck Johnny & Matthew Gaudreau shows zero remorse in court hearing
The man who struck Johnny and Matthew Gaudreau with his vehicle shows zero remorse during his first court hearing on Friday.
Sean Higgins, the man who killed Johnny Gaudreau and Matthew Gaudreau Thursday night was in court on Friday for a hearing and showed absolutely no remorse for his actions.
The judge had revealed that Higgins will be held until Thursday, as he explained that the normal 72-hour holding period was being extended due to the weekend and a holiday on Monday.
The New York Post has just recently posted a video of the court hearing, and Higgins sat back in his chair and let out a big sigh, as he was only concerned about being held until Thursday.
"So..I'm here until Thursday?" Higgins asked the judge.
Some more disturbing details emerges from Mark Scheig of The Hockey Writers, as he posted on social media account citing ABC6 and NBC10 that Higgins allegedly told New Jersey police that he drank 5 or 6 beers before the incident.
"According to ABC6 and NBC10 in Philadelphia, Sean Higgins, the driver who police say was the one who hit Johnny and Matthew Gaudreau, allegedly told police that he consumed "5-6 beers" before the crash. #CBJ" Scheig said.
Definitely a tough day for the hockey community as everyone continues to mourn the passing of the two Gaudreau brothers.
