The NHL Lost A Legend Today
The Rangers mourn the passing of former Head Coach Jean-Guy Talbot.
He was best known as the left defenseman on the dynastic Montreal Canadiens team that won five straight championships from 1956-1960.
In total, he won seven championships for the Canadiens.
He was also head coach for the Rangers for the 1977-1978 season.
As coach of the Rangers, Jean-Guy Talbot was known for wearing a warmup suit behind the bench during games, rather than the normal business suit worn by most coaches.
Our thoughts are with his family and friends during this difficult time.
