Tyler Bertuzzi's latest confession could lead to a tampering investigation
Former Toronto Maple Leafs forward lands himself in hot water after recent confession.
Former Maple Leafs forward and now current member of the Chicago Blackhawks, Tyler Bertuzzi lands himself in hot water after admitting why he signed with the Blackhawks during free agency.
Ultimately as July 1st approached, Tyler Bertuzzi signed with the Chicago Blackhawks after not reaching a final agreement with the Maple leafs, and many believed it was due to his asking price.
However that isn't quite the reason, as Ben Pope revealed the real reason why:
Tyler Bertuzzi says the Blackhawks weren't on his radar until Nick Foligno called the day before free agency and let him know they were interested. Foligno basically an extension of the front office at this point. Without a doubt the Blackhawks front office was interested in signing the 29-year old left winger, it seems like Nick Foligno may have convinced Bertuzzi to sign, and now an investigation could be launched due to tampering.
Considering Bertuzzi had admitted that Chicago hadn't even been on his radar until the interaction.
