Stanley Cup Champion's day with the cup ruined due to global IT outage
Stanley Cup Champion gets robbed of his time with the Stanley Cup after unfortunate cancellation.
Veteran NHL forward, Kyle Okposo, who had just won his first Stanley Cup after 18 seasons in the National Hockey League, was planned to make a public appearance at with the Cup today.
Okposo had plans to make a public appearance with the Stanley Cup at the Pagel Arena in Minnesota.
However, due to a widespread technology failure affecting�computer systems running Windows OS, it was unfortunately cancelled.
According to a recent report from NHL�Insider Michael Russo, he was "crushed" when he discovered the news:
"'I'm crushed,' a very disappointed Okposo tells me. They're currently trying to figure out how to get the Cup here so Okposo can still have some semblance of his day with the Cup."
Unfortunately the up is still stuck in St. Louis, where it was brought to the elementary school of forward Matthew Tkachuk during his personal day with the trophy.�
