It was a tough day for the players and organization of Boston College as they lost in the NCAA Frozen Four tournament to Denver 2-0.
Pundits and fans across the NHL have been speculating on what top Rangers prospect Gabe Perreault will do now that his freshman season is over.
Several players in the tournament have decided to end they're playing career in the NCAA and head to an NHL team.
It appears that Perreault does not have these plans in mind as he is expected to remain with Boston College for the next two to three seasons before signing his entry level contract.
Having lost in such a bitter defeat, it's likely Gabe Perreault will take some time to ponder his future and then make an announcement within the next few days.
The 18-year-old who was selected in the first round 23rd overall in the 2023 entry draft had a superb season with Boston College as he had played 36 games, scoring 19 goals with 41 assists for 60 points it was a + 24.
It's clear the Rangers would love to have him on the roster but with the team set and in no need to rush the young man, it's likely the organization will not push him to try to decide soon and will likely be with Boston College next season.
