Laviolette Confirmation Ensures History Will Be Made Today
Matt Rempe will become the first player to make his NHL debut in an outdoor game today against the Islanders, head coach Peter Laviolette confirmed.
The 6-foot-8, 245-pounder would provide a menacing presence, especially with the 6-foot-7 Adam Edström on the opposite wing, marking one of the biggest lines in the NHL! Standing at 18 feet, 6 inches. Weighing in at 674 lbs total!
Barclay Goodrow comments on his upcoming line mates, who is centering giants Edstrom and Rempe:
"I never thought I'd be on a line where I'm the shortest guy by five inches."
The Rangers enter today's contest on a six-game winning streak, tied with the 2014-15 Kings for the longest win streak by a team entering an outdoor game.
