Rangers May Again Be Shorthanded With Game-Time Decision
Mika Zibanejad is a game-time decision today against the Washington Capitals.
He missed the 5-2 loss against the St. Louis Blues on Thursday.
He missed the previous day of practice due to illness, but attended practice earlier that day and was in the warmup rushes prior to the game.
He left the ice and was then scratched for the game.
Head coach Peter Laviolette decided to run 11 forwards and seven defensemen with inserting Zac Jones in.
Peter Laviolette wouldn't say anything about tomorrow's rematch at home.
Peter Laviolette said at practice this week there would be a "ramp-up period" for Kakko, which is why it seemed unrealistic they would ask him to play back-to-backs this weekend.
Tomorrow is possible, but safer bet would be sometime this week.
We will update on their status as more information becomes available.
