On the Eastern Conference side, some are picking either the Rangers, Hurricanes, Bruins or Panthers to make their way to the finals.
Fox Sports Broadcaster Jody Shelley, makes his sound prediction of Rangers over the Bruins in six games.
Former NHL player and head coach Bruce Boudreau, went a little bold on his picks, with some emotional attachment to them as well. Take a listen:
You won't hear me complain about someone saying they hate the Bruins.
The hatred possibly stems from the fact he was from Toronto and has been a Maple Leafs fan since childhood, hence why he choose the Leafs over the Bruins.
What is interesting though is the prediction of the Rangers losing to the Capitals in six games because the Capitals will "bore the Rangers to death".
That was also a bit funny.
I don't think this Rangers squad will be bored, or unfocused, or unmotivated.
This core wants to correct the failure of last season and build on their incredible President Trophy winning season.
Anything less than a Conference Finals will be deemed an unmitigated failure, with some claiming a finals appearance should be the benchmark for the team.
The previous three times the Rangers have won the President Trophy, they have at least made the Eastern Conference Finals.
