Former New York Rangers involved in an ugly scene after taking a massive hit from Vancouver Canucks forward J.T. Miller

During Wednesday nights game between the Vancouver Canucks and Calgary Flames, former Rangers forward Kevin Rooney who is now with the Flames, took an ugly hit from Miller and went flying head first into the boards.
Following the collision Rooney stayed laid out on the ice for a long period time, but thankfully he was able to get up and skate off the ice with the help of teammates, the medical staff even brought out the stretcher cause the situation seems bad but it was ultimately waved off.
Kevin Rooney was able to skate off under his own power after being down from this hit by J.T. Miller
The collision obviously led to an all-out brawl between the two teams as Rooney's teammates were not going to let that slide:
Definitely a scary situation, however it doesn't appear that J.T. Miller was trying to intentionally hurt Rooney on this play but unfortunately It just looks like an unavoidable hit that ended with an unfortunate result.
Glad to see Rooney got back on his feet and skated off, but he will most likely miss a game or two due to concussion protocols. On behalf of everyone here at NY Rangers Insider we wish Rooney all the best.
