Former Rangers forward shocks many as he completely drops Maple Leafs veteran in spirited tilt
The former New York Rangers forward Pavel Buchnevich has always been known as a goal-scorer. The forward gave us all a surprise on Saturday, as he and the Blues took on Craig Berube and the Maple Leafs.
Buchnevich would be at the Enterprise Center in St. Louis, against the Toronto Maple Leafs. The forward would drop the gloves with Pontus Holmberg at 8:50 in the third period and on the power play. With a 2-1 lead!
The tilt would occur after teammate Jake Neighbours would be penalized for slashing, and Buchnevich would skate into the chaos.
Both sides would converge into the massive scrum, and Buchnevich would single out Holmberg, putting him in a headlock. Then afterward would drag him to the ice, and start pummeling him. The 29-year-old forward would throw six punches and would land at least two one on Holmberg's face, and the back of his head.
It would push Holmberg's head into the ice, keeping ahold of the Leafs player's arm.

Buchnevich would exact revenge and wouldn't relent on Holmberg establishing dominance on the ice.
The Blues would defeat returning Coach Craig Berube, in what could be considered an embarrassing loss for him.
Buchnevich would outwork Berube's forwards, in a tilt and on the ice as the Blues won 4-2.
While this wasn't Ryan Reaves, it is apparent that Buchnevich has fought before. A total of five times with the New York Rangers, per Forever Blue Shirts:
Mitch Marner would be the only top-six forward who'd tally a goal last night, while Buchnevich, Colton Parayko(2), Nathan Walker, Ryan Suter(2), Jordan Kyrou, and Dylan Holloway would all earn a point or more.
