Panarin, a free agent, agreed to a contract with the Chicago Blackhawks on May 1, 2015, after a successful career in the Kontinental Hockey League. He thrived on a forward line with fellow Russia-born players Artem Anisimov and Patrick Kane, finishing with 30 goals and 77 points (tied for ninth in the NHL) in 80 games in 2015-16 and won the Calder Trophy as the League's top rookie. Since his arrival in the NHL, he has continued to be a terror on the ice, whether in Chicago, Columbus, or his current club the New York Rangers.
Today pushed him up to 799 points during his NHL career and will very likely hit that 800 point mark during the New York Rangers next game against the Buffalo Sabres on Thursday, November 7th.
