This will be Vesey's season debut as he had missed the first 10 games of the season after suffering a lower body injury while in training camp. They placed Vesey on long term injury reserve at the start of the season but appears to be ready to take on the remainder of the year.
Many hope that Vesey will have another good season as he had 26 points through 80 games last year. His contributions will be important as the Rangers continued to look for offence especially on secondary scoring. Many touted him as a top six forward at the beginning of his career but that never transpired, and he has been mostly either a third line or fourth line player.
With Vesey's return, the Rangers will need to make a move in their roster in which they have decided to send beleaguered forward Matt Rempe back to Hartford as he is trying to find his game after spending the entire summer working hard on improving his status as an NHL player.
Vesey holds a cap hit of $800,000 and the Rangers hope that he can help the team turn their play around as they have outplayed over the past couple of games against the Ottawa Senators and the Washington Capitals.
The Rangers will take on the New York Islanders who are also having injury problems as they have lost Mathew Barzal and Adam Pelech to long term injuries. The game will take place at 1:00 PM eastern at Madison Square gardens on November 3rd.
