Jonathan Quick proves he's the best backup goalie throughout the NHL with latest 4-0 shutout victory
New York Rangers backup goalie continues to prove why he's one of the best in the league after recording a shutout against the Detroit Red Wings.
New York Rangers backup goalie Jonathan Quick has still proved he's an elite goaltender despite being 38-years old.
The Rangers pulled off a dominant 4-0 victory against the Detroit Red Wings on Saturday night, all thanks to Quick's outstanding performance, and of course the goal scorers.
The Detroit Red Wings put up a good fight as they were more aggressive offensively as managed to put up 37 shots, while the Rangers only put up 24.
However, Quick kept the Rangers in the game and helped the team to their ninth victory of the season, a win they desperately needed after lossinf 6-1 to the Buffalo Sabres.
While recording a 37-save shutout, this will also mark his 61st career shutout:

So without a doubt, Quick had to be considered one of the best backup goalies in the Nation Hockey League, Quick is also only four victories away from 400 career wins.
After tonight's win, No. 32 is four victories away from 400. He would be the first U.S.-born goalie to achieve the feat in NHL history.
The New York Rangers will take on the Winnipeg Jets for their next game on Tuesday, November 12 at Madison Square Garden @ 7:00PM.
