The New York Rangers are off to a dominate start against the Detroit Red Wings, thanks to Chris Kreider, Jimmy Vesey, Artemi Panarin, and Reilly Smith for netting a goal a piece.

However, the goal we're focusing on is the beauty goal Jimmy Vesey netted after a nice setup by Zac Jones and Sam Carrick, which ultimately gave the Rangers a 2-0 lead.

Jones started the play by ringing the puck behind the net to Carrick and without wasting any time he passed the puck to Vesey who would strike on Red Wings goalie Ville Husso and score his first of the 2024-25 season.

The 29-year old veteran forward Jimmy Vesey has recently been activated from long-term injured reserve(LTIR) as the New York Rangers passed the 10-game mark, and has only played two games this season.

During the Rangers training camp, Jimmy Vesey sustained an injury, and was visibly in pain as he quickly limped off the ice and returned to the locker room.

Just last season, the veteran forward managed to tally 13 goals, 13 assists for a total of 26 points in 80 games while averaging 12:23 minutes a game.

The New York Rangers managed to bounce back and pull off a 4-0 victory over the Detroit Red Wings, after a blowout loss against the Buffalo Sabres on Thursday night. Along with Jonathan Quick getting his first shoutout of the season.
