Laviolette Addresses The Media On Rangers Preparations Before Game One
The Rangers are preparing to play Game 1 of the best-of-7 first round against the Washington Capitals at Madison Square Garden later today. Peter Laviolette speaks to the media of what to expect come playoff time:
"There's always some ups and downs inside a playoff.. the overtime wins, the overtime losses, the tough losses, the tough wins..."
Laviolette also addresses the Rangers getting three days off entering the playoffs:
"The first two days were just to get some rest... you can cover a lot of different parts of your system inside of a little three-day minicamp."
All the pieces are in place to make this a short series, which would be huge for the Rangers to begin what they hope will be a long postseason.
