BizNasty predicts Capitals have no chance to win the Cup
The NHL playoffs have begun and pundits across the league are weighing in on how teams will fare and who will move on after the first round. During the intermission of TNT, Biznasty of the Spittin Chiclets predicted that 14 teams have a chance at the cup and that the capitals and Islanders do not.
It's a fair point to say as both teams especially the Capitals had to do everything, they could get into the playoffs rather than coast in like most teams. The Capitals on paper are no match for the Rangers with the depth across the board that the capitals do not have an answer.
Same goes for the Islanders. They were a team that worked quite hard to get third overall in the Metro division, but I feel this team will run out of gas in the first round as the Carolina Hurricanes are quite dominant on all three levels including forwards, defence, and goaltending.
Earlier today, the Islanders played their first game against the Hurricanes and lost 3-1. It's certainly plausible that these series will be quick and that the Carolina Hurricanes in Rangers will move on to the second round.
