Laviolette And Rest Of The Team Gives Praise To Filip Chytil's Return
Rangers are the 12th team in NHL history to begin a postseason 7-0. Eight of the previous 11 teams went on to win the Stanley Cup, including the 1994 Rangers. This team is clicking at the just the right time, especially after another overtime win over the Carolina Hurricanes last night!
There's something special happening with these Rangers. It's only gotten more special with the return of Filip Chytil, following an absence of more than six months due to complications from a Nov. 2 concussion. Head coach Peter Laviolette talks about bringing Chytil back into the Rangers lineup and Chytil's performance last night:
"I thought he got better and better as the game went on. You wouldn't have known that he was off for however long it was, five months or six months."
Chris Kreider also talks about the impact of Chytil's return:
"It's been amazing having him around. To have him come in, buzzing around out there, having a positive impact, it's awesome."
Chytil and the Rangers can complete their second sweep of this postseason tomorrow night.
