Laviolette Discusses Biggest Reason The Rangers Are Rolling
The Rangers supplied endless amounts of drama and entertainment in their exhilarating 6-5 comeback win over the rival Islanders.
They posted the first three-goal comeback win in an outdoor game in NHL history and are the second team to overcome a multi-goal deficit in the final five minutes of regulation to win an outdoor game and their seventh consecutive game!
Kudos to head coach Peter Laviolette, those goals may not have come if he didn't take a couple calculated risks.
He pulled Igor Shesterkin on both of the final two power plays to give the Rangers a two-man advantage, which paid off on both occasions.
Peter Laviolette says that the team's winning streak results in playing with confidence:
"I think that you gain confidence when things are going well and you feel like you can do anything."
It's good to see the Rangers getting back to playing the way they did to start the season rather than the team we saw for the month of January.
