Peter Laviolette reacts to loss of Zibanejad during loss
It was a tough game as the Rangers were on the road against the Tampa Bay Lightning where the Blueshirts lost 6-3.
Part of the reason was the partial loss of Mika Zibanejad during the game which caused the team to struggle.
Head Coach Peter Laviolette was asked during the post game on what he saw and what he thought.
The Rangers need players Zibanejad to continue be an engine for their offense.
He has seen a drop in his production this season having played 65 games, scoring 20 goals with 36 assists for 56 points.
Many felt he would have another 90 point plus season but likely not going to happen.
"There was definitely some disruption in the game of things that derailed us a little bit. We didn't get back on track where we needed to quick enough"
This game had some meaning as this could be a first-round opponent for the Rangers.
Even though this is a regular season game, it's important the Rangers be ready for those intense matchups.
The Rangers will try to come back to the winners circle as they prepare to faceoff against the Pittsburgh Penguins on Saturday March 16th and game time is 7:00pm.
