In a recent interview, Rangers star forward Mika Zibanejad gives his take what the Rangers need to do and the mindset the players need to be in in order to change their fortunes has the team continues to struggle.
This season has been a tale of two different seasons for the Rangers as the team roared out of the gate with a 12-4-0 record and looked much like the team they were during last year's playoffs.
But after the
Jacob Trouba saga had come to an end and he was now with the Anaheim Ducks, the Rangers have not looked the same and they have had a dismal record and are currently looking outside in regarding the playoffs.
Several players on the Rangers squad have reached out and expressed what the team needs to do to turn things around and this quote from Zibanejad was the most extensive in recent weeks.
Rangers Look To Turn The Page On First Half Of Season
Many fans feel that he needs to do more and to be more vocal as the team continues to sink and even though he is saying all the right things it's a matter of putting the work in and getting the results.
The Rangers were only able to win four games in the entire month of December which is unacceptable. With 2025 now five days in and the team with 1-1 record, the Rangers have an opportunity to move the needle in the win column against the lowly Chicago Blackhawks.
The last time they played one another was on December 9th where the Blackhawks won 2-1 and now the Rangers will enter the United Center to try to even out the season series.
There will certainly be a chance to defeat the Blackhawks as the team has gone through their struggles this season.
The game will take place on January 5th, and it will be at 3:00 PM Eastern.
