Troubling scenes: Top NHL Prospect Stretchered Off The Ice Following Devastating Collision

Columbus Blue Jackets top prospect Ole Julian Bjorgvik was stretchered off the ice tonight as the Cleveland Monsters faced off against the Belleville Senators.

The 22-year-old NHL prospect has been deemed as a promising prospect for the Columbus Blue Jackets, and was just involved in a very scary incident involving Belleville Senators forward Hayden Hodgson.

Bjorgvik was drafted by the Columbus Blue Jackets in the 2020 NHL draft, but he is struggling to land a full time role with a pro hockey organization whether that be the AHL, ECHL, and or the NHL, and depending of the outcome of this injury he just may never get that chance.

During the game tonight, he was involved in the scary collision and was unable to leave on his own feet and had to be stretchered off the ice, which raises a lot of concerns.

Hayden Hodgson, the player who laid the hit was ejected from the game, and one fan captured the moment that Bjorgvik was stretchered off the ice and posted to it to social media.

The fan described it as a 'horrifying' scene, as it's something no one in the hockey community wants to see a player go through.

Hodgson has made a name for himself in the AHL, and will probably only be an AHL hockey player, as he tallies over 100 penalty minutes every season. Something most organizations don't want.
