Peter Laviolette takes issue with the New York Rangers' brutal performance against the Sabres

The New York Rangers were defeated 8-2, by a Buffalo Sabres team who is currently last in the Atlantic Division at the moment. There'd be more to say, if the team had put some effort into the loss, but Peter Laviolette wouldn't spare any criticisms for the team.
During the first-period of regulation play between the New York Rangers and the Buffalo Sabres, the massacre started early.
The Rangers, and
Jonathan Quick would give up five goals, to a cast that included a whose-who of top-talent on the Sabres squad.
But they would fail to build upon, it and would fall, as the Sabres would score three more goals to finish off the hopes of Rangers faithful that night.
The team showed a real lack of drive, and effort that night.
Peter Laviolette wouldn't live it down during a press conference held afterward.
The most damning piece of all the evidence was the fact that JT Miller, and
Artemi Panarin instead of scoring goals would only provide secondary offense.
Which was helpful, but they need to be at the front of any kind of offense to win the game.
While the defense in front of Jonathan Quick seemed nonexistent. This isn't going to end the way they hope if they keep playing like this.
Is it time to break up the New York Rangers core?
The team is 5th in the Metropolitan Division, with a record of 27-25-4.
