New York Rangers find a sense of confidence following first back-to-back victory since Nov.14
It's been since November 14th that the New York Rangers have put together back-to-back victories. Now, with their win against the Vegas Golden Knights have they found new life?
The New York Rangers have put together two wins for the first time in over two months this year.
The team defeated Vegas Golden Knights 2-1, with Vinnie Troecheck, and Adam Edstrom contributing to the win.
Jonny Brodzinski and Adam Edstrom were asked about how they felt in a post-game interview.
The victory gives New York its first winning streak since claiming three straight from Nov. 14-19. The Rangers are 4-1-1 in 2025, and they've played a much better brand of hockey in the new year.
This win follows a 3-2 overtime victory against the New Jersey Devils, one of the best teams in the Metropolitan Division this year.
Edstrom and Brodzinski will have to hold onto the newfound momentum as they will face the Colorado Avalanche and the Utah Hockey Club newest expansion squad in the NHL next.
«As a team defensively, it seems like we've been doing that better the last couple of games,» said defenseman Ryan Lindgren, who has seven blocked shots in the past two games. «That's the key to winning games. So it was a good one tonight for us.» While the opponents may not be as ominous this time, as the Dallas Stars or Edmonton Oilers, they will have to practice a commitment to defense like we saw last night.
The New York Rangers are now 20-20-2 and 6th in the Metropolitan Division
