Peter Laviolette issues shocking statement on the New York Rangers performance against the Golden Knights
Which has resulted in head coach Peter Laviolette to issues a very passionate statement regarding the New York Rangers performance and effort.
FINAL - #NYR 2, Golden Knights 1
Big W for the Blueshirts, who pick up consecutive wins for the first time since Nov. 14-19.
Total effort against a top team.
Truly a team effort to get the win, especially with the two goal scorers for the New York Rangers, Vincent Trocheck and Adam Edstrom who made the win possible by being in the right position at the right time.
Vincent Trocheck went back to the locker room after being hit by the puck on a Mika Zibanejad shot and scoring a power play goal However, following the game head coach Peter Laviolette was asked about how he thought the night went, and without holding back and any hesitation he gave a really passionate response:
Here's what he said, according to Mollie Walker of the New York Post:
#NYR head coach Peter Laviolette: "I thought we were right on point right from the start. For me, it's a follow-up from the last game, as well.
So that's even a better point, too, is it was a really solid effort and game at home [against the Devils] and then to come on the road a day later, take the travel, get out here and play tonight.
I thought the guys -- everything, from the drop of the puck the first period was excellent. And then just followed it through for 60 minutes."
It's hard not to agree with what Laviolette said as the Rangers played a solid game from start to finish, and hopefully they can carry this over into their next game against the Colorado Avalanche on Tuesday January 14th.
