New York Rangers receive terrible news as young forward sustains upper-body injury
The New York Rangers have received some very unfortunate news regarding young forward.
As the New York Rangers hit the ice for their morning skate on Monday morning, a noticeable player was missing from the team, that player being 23-year old Alexis Lafrenière.
This news was confirmed by Rangers reporter, Mollie Walker of the New York Post, as she stated Lafreniere has been listed day-to-day with an upper-body injury:
Alexis Lafrenière is not skating today, he is day-to-day with upper-body injury NYR
News like this is not welcome, as the Rangers are attempting to make a run at the Stanley Cup and a good start to the season helps.
Following this news head coach Peter Laviolette has refused to give any updates or timeline as to when Lafreniere will return along with Ryan Lindgren:

Definitely some unfortunate has Alexis Lafreniere has been a solid performer for the New York Rangers, as he's off to a hot start this season with 6 points in the last 5 games for the Rangers (3 goals, 3 assists).
Along with the 2023-2024 season, as he played all 82 games, and it paid off as he scored 28 goals and 29 assists for a total of 57 points.
