Shesterkin was a bright spot, on a team that has many flaws, including in the top-six forward core.
And according to ESPN's Kristen Shilton and Ryan S. Clark, the Rangers won't be making drastic moves this off-season.
Instead, they will focus on precise adjustments to the roster, while locking down their number-one goalie.
According to the duo, the Rangers are making it a goal to lockdown, Shesterkin long-term, while making him one of the highest-paid NHL goalies.
Which, as an elite goalie he deserves every penny considering his performance during the NHL playoffs.
Shesterkin did more than just stand on his head during the 2024 playoffs, he remained a consistent playoff performer.
In 16 playoff games, Shesterkin made the New York Rangers better with a 10-5-1 record, 2.28 GAA, and a .927 save percentage.
He stepped up his performance from 55 regular season starts, with a 36-17-2 record, 2.56 GAA, and a .913 save percentage.
Pay the man what he's owed.
