Matt Rempe has won over fans in Madison Square Garden, as player who will stand up for his teammates without question.

He'd play a limited amount of games in the NHL, only 17 due to the fact he wasn't really the best player. He had limited offensive capabilities, and could only fight, throw the body and wasn't a great skater.

During the offseason he'd engage in training in order to make himself a better player, and it didn't look like his new capabilities would show.

He has proven us wrong, as he recently scored his 1st AHL goal of 2024-2025, not to mention had seven shots on goal during the Wolfpacks 4-2 victory against the Providence Bruins.

Not to mention he added an assist to his tally during the game as well.

Rempe, who had a game-high seven shots on goal, had the secondary assist on Hartford's second goal in a 4-2 victory against Providence. The 22-year-old kept the puck alive behind the net early in the third period, before Adam Sykora collected it and fed in front to captain Casey Fitzgerald, who made no mistake rifling home his third goal to put the Wolf Pack in front 2-1.

Just 23 seconds later, Rempe responded with his first goal of the season. Rempe gained the zone on the left-wing side on a two-on-one, electing to shoot. His shot rocketed by Bussi, giving the Wolf Pack the necessary insurance. It was the second point of the night for Rempe, who also collected an assist.

This was coming up off the heels of a six-game stint which saw him scoreless in Hartford. The change happened when Rempe was planced on Adam Sykora's wing.

Hartford Wolfpack's Coach Grant Potulny would speak highly of Rempe's performance this weekeend:

«He's played fantastic (on the wing),» Wolf Pack coach Grant Potulny said postgame about Rempe. «You're always moving guys around He's good on the dot (at center) but it's good when a player can be versatile and can play more than one position. It brings them more value to their personal game.»

Rempe's AHL career has saw him play 103 games with the Hartford Wolfpack scoring 24 points( 15 G, 9 A) in that time frame.

Will Rempe find his way back to New York soon?
