NHL Mike Kelly predicts Rangers as Stanley Cup champs
With the Rangers season concluded and the team currently waiting for their first opponent of the 2024 NHL playoffs, Mike Kelly, an NHL analyst for NHL network has gone ahead and made a bold prediction thatthe Rangers will win the Stanley Cup this season.
He was asked after the game's conclusion to who he feels is the best team to win the Stanley Cup this year.
He strongly made his opinion that the Rangers are his choice due to a variety of reasons including the endless pipeline of prospects and young talent that's on the roster.
The team has certainly faced its resiliency as it has one the most comeback games this year of any team and had rallied around its troubles in December and January and put together a great stretch run which put them as the best team in the NHL.
Granted, that does not guarantee a Stanley Cup however, Kelly makes strong points which gives the impression that the Rangers can play against anyone in the Eastern Conference and for the Stanley Cup.
It remains to be seen on how the Rangers will do after last year's disastrous first round exit which certainly will give the team more hunger to win this season especially after putting together 55 wins in 82 games.
