The New York Rangers suffered a brutal 6-1 blowout loss to the Buffalo Sabres, which has left head coach Peter Laviolette to call out his entire team as he expresses his disappointment.

During Peter Laviolette's postgame press conference, Laviolette summed up the game straightforward that Thursday nights game was not their night, and the team did not play well at all on all fronts, and need to stop relying on their goaltenders:

"We've been under siege a little bit too much and relying on our goaltenders too much"

Peter Laviolette was asked about how the Rangers can play more attacking hockey:

The team has been off to a relatively good start of the season as they posted a record of 8-2-1 before Thursday night game, now it's 8-3-1. However, overall it was a quiet night for the Rangers stars as they all came up score less on the score sheet, with the only goal coming from Will Cuylle.

This loss will certainly give Laviolette and his coaching staff more to work on as Laviolette's drastic lineup changes seemed to backfire, leaving plenty of room for improvement.

Hopefully the team could redeem itself for a bounce back game as they face off against the Detroit Red Wings. The game will take place on November 9th, at Little Caesars Arena starting at 7:00PM.
