Jonathan Quick Talks About The Incredible Opportunity Given To Him
Jonathan Quick has signed a 1-year contract extension with the Rangers earlier today.
On the contract, he said negotiations only took about a week, as it was clear both sides wanted to continue the relationship.
His numbers this seasons are fantastic, and looking like the vintage Jonathan Quick on his playing days for the L.A. Kings.
He addresses the media on the opportunity the Rangers have given him to run it back for another season:
"I'm grateful for the opportunity the Rangers gave me, plus will continue to try to prove myself."
Jonathan Quick also speaks on how long he'd like to play:
"It's tough to think about that, I just try to compete, work hard and be a good teammate. I like that approach, coming in one day at a time and not thinking too far ahead. It tends to make things confusing."
It's great to have two awesome goaltenders on the team at once, a recipe that bodes well for the team when the playoffs come and for next season.
