The New York Rangers faced the Colorado Avalanche today in Madison Square Garden. During the match, it was obvious that the referees were doing a terrible job. They missed obvious embellishment from Parker Kelly, when they penalized the Rangers, leading to an Avalanche power-play.

The New York Rangers were penalized on what was an obvious embellishment from the Avalanche's Parker Kelly, and Martin Necas.

This was one of two verifiable embellishments during the 1st and 2nd periods as Fox would unintentionally wrap his arm around Kelly's face. Then Kelly would drop to the ice.

Quite the act.

This happened 14:13 into the 1st period, leading to an Avalanche goal by Cale Marker with an assist by Martin Necas, and Nathan MacKinnon.

What a joke.

Unfortunately for the Rangers' the 2nd period wouldn't be any different, as Adam Edstrom would be given a penalty

Edstrom would be penalized by interference, as Necas "tripped" after the towering forward would barely touch the skater.

It'd put the Avalanche back on the power-play which fortunately they wouldn't convert, 8:28 into the 2nd period.

Lately, it's been difficult to complain about the NHL officials, as we haven't seen the Rangers put any effort into being a winning team, until 2025.

But it's obvious the linesmen and officials have been terrible at their job and influenced the game's direction today.

Without the power-play goal by Cale Makar in the 1st period, the Rangers wouldn't have to put in 65 minutes of effort to defeat the Avalanche today.

Should forward Parker Kelly, and forward Martin Necas of the Colorado Avalanche be penalized for the embellishments during the New York Rangers game?
