Defenseman Braden Schneiderof the New York Rangers released a statement today before the game tomorrow against the Colorado Avalanche. He believes they need everyone to contribute to win.

Defenseman Braden Schneider of the New York Rangers has been coveted by the Vancouver Canucks.

It's understandable why, he sticks to his assignment and is known primarily for his defensive play.

Scott Wheeler - The Athletic - Sept. 21st: "He uses his length and strength well off the rush, too, but his biggest asset is his ability to take away time and space in the defensive zone, close out the wall, win puck battles and advance the play back up ice with a quick outlet.

Tomorrow, against the reloaded Avalanche, they'll look a bit different with Martin Necas, and Jack Drury in the lineup, with superstar Nathan MacKinnon.

Here was his statement regarding the Rangers' duty tomorrow.

The Rangers will have to play a full sixty-minute game against the Avalanche in order to stop the high-flying Nathan MacKinnon, and Coach Jared Bednar.

This isn't the same team that won a Stanley Cup in 2022, with Mikko Rantanen leaving the lineup, you could argue a win is ripe for the picking.

And Schneider's philosophy here of playing a full 200-foot game will pay off, as long they maintain puck possession of the Avs, and control the pace of the game.

With Igor Shesterkin's recent .32 GAA performance, with two shutouts and three wins, a win should be inevitable.

This team has won a President's Trophy before.

The Colorado Avalanche has a 1-0-0 record against the New York Rangers in 2024-2025.

It's up to Peter Laviolette, and the team to deliver their first loss of the series. Can they protect Igor, and solve the riddle of Mackenzie Blackwood?
